The collection of the State Library of Victoria includes a photograph album compiled in the 1920s by Albert John Kenneth Arnall (1902-1968).
It is a cardboard album with 44 leaves bound together with string, front cover separated from whole, embossed design in front cover upper left. Most images are identified in ink on album page beneath image in ink. They include scenes from country towns and Melbourne.
Towns photographed include Avoca, Amphitheatre, and Red Bank.
Albert Arnell [Arnall] was born in September 1902, formerly of Whitehorse Road (near Rooks Road), Mitcham, he took photographs in the middle to late 1920s. Arnall married in 1929 and went to live in Queensland, not returning to Victoria.
The album was donated to the State Library in 2012.
